The diaphragm is the core component of a diaphragm compressor. Its materials must possess high strength, fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance, and good elasticity. Commonly used materials include stainless steel (such as 316L), titanium alloys, and polymers (such as PTFE).
Significant breakthroughs have been achieved in high-pressure and ultra-high-pressure technologies in China. For example, Fengdian Jinkaiwei developed the first 320MPa ultra-high-pressure diaphragm compressor and passed product certification, while Dongde Industry released a 90MPa diaphragm compressor for hydrogen refueling stations.
In terms of intelligent control, PLCs (such as S7-200) and advanced control systems are used to achieve automated control, fault alarms, and energy consumption optimization. For example, Zhongding Hengsheng developed a dual control system for the intake and exhaust pressures of diaphragm compressors, effectively reducing energy consumption by controlling a variable frequency motor through a PLC.
To adapt to emerging scenarios such as the home use of hydrogen energy, distributed hydrogen refueling, and precision processing of special gases, the market demands equipment with low flow rates, ultra-high pressures, and high compactness, driving miniaturization and specialization. For example, Zhongding Hengsheng developed the G0 series of small-displacement, compact diaphragm compressors. Meanwhile, to meet the rapid deployment needs of scenarios such as hydrogen refueling stations, skid-mounted diaphragm compressor units have been developed, integrating all process equipment, piping, and auxiliary systems into one unit.
To address issues such as high-pressure hydrogen embrittlement, the industry has optimized hydrogen-related materials, such as improving alloy purity and adjusting heat treatment processes, to reduce susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement and improve the long-term performance of diaphragms and key components.
The diaphragm compressor industry as a whole is developing towards higher efficiency, intelligence, and environmental friendliness, with product application areas continuously expanding, particularly showing great potential in emerging markets such as hydrogen energy, new energy, and precision manufacturing.
